Unless you already own a "deep freeze", (or even if you do), here's some useful information.

Our GE freezer (22 cu. ft) has a chart printed right on the lid with a recommended storage guide for the contents. Of particular interest to me was "Steaks". Stored at 0 degrees F, they are listed with a useful life of about six months. So, why should you care what I keep in my freezer or how long it will last?

What is a lowline?

Lowline Angus cattle were developed in Australia and are based on purebred Aberdeen Angus stock imported from Canada in 1929. They were the outcome of decades of careful breeding and selection. They began to appear in the US in the 1990's and are quickly gaining recognition as the ideal beef stock.

Morningwood Acres Ranch is a small farm dedicated to breeding and producing quality percentage low-line Angus beef cattle. We carefully select for temperament as well as physical traits. All of our animals free-graze on native grasslands. All stock receive daily attention and handling and are extremely friendly. Our customers include other breeders, cattle-ranch owners, beef consumers and 4H families. We sell direct to the buyer and welcome visitors to see our animals first-hand.
